Disney has released the very first Mulan teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action remake of the popular animated movie from 1998. The story tells the epic adventure of a fearless young woman who has it all masquerading as a man to fight the invaders of the North who attack China. It is, of course, based on the original Disney movie, but in its foundation the story is based on the narrative poem The Ballad of Mulan .
Niki Caro ( Whale Rider ) directs this live action update in which Liu Yifei ( The Forbidden Kingdom ) fills the title role from Hua Mulan and all-anchored Asian Ensemble, which also includes Jet Li .
