The 55-year-old doctor and her 38-year-old husband, who worked for leftist democrats like Omar and her predecessor in Minnesota, Keith Ellison, have a 13-year-old son together.
"The parties physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when the defendant told the plaintiff that he was in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar, and was romantically involved," the court records said.
Beth Mynett told her husband that she still loved him and was "ready to fight for marriage," even after his admission, the court records said. The couple had lived together for six years before getting married in 201

Beth Mynett seeks primary custody of the son of her and her husband, also because of Tim Mynette's "extended journey" w Omar, the document says.
"The defendant's recent travels and long working hours seem to have more to do with his relationship with Rep. Omar than with his actual work commitments," the court papers say.
The Physician She also argued that she did not trust the judgment of her estranged husband over her son – not even because of his relationship with Omar.
"For example, days before the defendant's devastating and shocking declaration of love to Rep. Omar and the reception. He and the deputy Omar took the son of the parties to dinner for the first time to meet at the family's favorite restaurant when the Plaintiff was not in the city.

Omar's husband Ahmed Hirsi, a retired banker hired last year to serve as senior advisor to a councilwoman in Minnesota, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Omar was previously married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
