Tuesday morning commuter traffic could be a bit slippery, especially in northwest New Jersey, where a wintry mix of light snow and icing could coat roads.
Predictors call for up to an inch of snow, sleet and snow Rain and ice due to a fast-moving storm blowing through Tuesday morning rush hour, the National Weather Service said Monday morning.
The weather service has issued a winter weather consultation, which lasts from 22.00 clock. until 7 o'clock in the morning for the following counties: Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon and Somerset. Precipitation in these districts is expected to fall at about 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
The report also applies to part of eastern Pennsylvania, including Lehigh Valley and Poconos.
While Bergen, Passaic, Essex and the Western Union counties are concerned these areas could not be advised in winter weather, but also snow. It is expected that the counties Middlesex and Mercer will also receive "limited" effects from the storm, with a dusting also possible in western Monmouth.
