SONOMA, CA – A drag racer died Wednesday evening at Sonoma Raceway when he attended a sanctioned event, authorities say the California Highway Patrol and the Sheriff Office of Sonoma County. The death was reported at 18:10. on the racetrack at 29355 Arnold Drive in Sonoma
The sheriff's office confirmed the death in a short statement at 8:34 pm stating that the details were limited, but the racer had driven more than 100 miles an hour on the wall at the track.
The person died on "Wednesday Night Drags," also known as "Sonoma Drags & Drifts," a program that offers people like teens and professionals a place to place their vehicles in a safe, legal and controlled environment can drive the streets of the city.
