NBA Highlights: Mark Fultz makes his first career 3-pointer as 76ers mass ballistics goes up

Markelle Fultz can finally be considered a 3-point shooter. After his much-discussed shootings and the rumored loss of confidence since his convocation, the former 1st overall cup winner has finally hit his first Career 3-pointer.

When the Philadelphia 76ers made a 127-108 blowout victory over the Chicago Bulls on national television on Thursday night, the 20-year-old guardian nailed those 3-pointers, as you can see in the video below:

It took 1

6 career games, plus three playoff games, but let's also mention that he had only made four 3-point attempts before he made his first. That's right, Fultz has made only four 3-point attempts in 16 games. This is a far cry from a guy who was actually a decent 3-point shooter in college, who made 41.3 percent of his attempts and won 126 of them during his lonely season at the University of Washington.

This is obviously a trial (yes, that's a pun), but the biggest hurdle for Fultz at this point may not even be his physical shooting, it's really a matter of self-confidence. The media and the fans have so thoroughly dissected this child at such a young age and at an early stage of its development that this may be more of a mental block than anything else.

To continue to start and encourage him to take something shot is the only way to overcome this mental block. This is another step in the right direction for a 20-year-old who will have a say in the Sixers who have been NBA title contenders in the years to come.
