The future of NBC's comedy "Sunnyside" is not so sunny. Although we are only four weeks into the new fall network season, the NBC immigrant comedy "Sunnyside" has been removed from the broadcast schedule. The 11th and final season of "Will & Grace" will take place on Thursday evening from the 24th of October.
The remaining episodes of "Sunnyside" are posted online on NBC.com and in the NBC App. There will be no second season, but NBC has ordered an additional episode that will elevate the season to 11 episodes from the original sequence of 10 episodes helping a group of immigrants to prepare for their citizenship test, which this fall is considered the least-watched new series debuted. After the first debut at 1.77 million viewers and a demo rating of 0.40, it dropped to 1.18 million and a demo rating of 0.30 until the third episode.

In better news for the newcomer series Fox gave the detective drama "Prodigal Son" an order for 22 episodes out of 13 episodes. It is not an official renewal for Tom Payne-driven series, but it promises good chances for a second season.
