The New York Jets announced today that Neil Glat will resign as team president and assume a new senior advisor role.
Neil Glat was President of the New York Jets for almost eight years. Glat's role was in the franchise's business and oversaw all out-of-field activities. During his time with the jets, Neil Glat has been credited with numerous improvements and innovations, built partnerships and strengthened relationships with many external organizations. Glat led the development and design of the new Jets uniforms. Under Glat Jets 360, an Emmy-winning content platform was developed. Glat has also been responsible for implementing the Jets Rewards program and digital ticketing solutions, executing a breakthrough gaming contract with MGM, and partnering with Def Jam Recordings, Marvel, and WWE to build the fan Commitment to a variety of new events, help tackle school bullying and recognize the Jets as "The Innovative Sports Team" through a leading sports and technology publication.
Neil Glat made this brief statement regarding his resignation as President:
I would like to thank the Johnson family for giving me the great opportunity to be part of their truly special organization. Woody and Christopher are great leaders and great mentors to me. I am very grateful to both. My sincere thanks also go to all the outstanding employees of the Jets family. It is never a good time to go, but it is the right time for me to face new challenges.
