The latest firmware update for Nintendo Switch has arrived, but do not be too excited. Version 8.1.0 is now available and does not do much. The official patch notes are one line long.
"General system stability improvements to improve the user experience," it says.
Your switch will most likely download the update automatically when you connect to the Internet. To check if you have the latest version, go to the System Settings menu and look for Version 8.1.0. You can also trigger the update manually via the System Settings menu.
Other news from Switch recently reported that production of the new switch models has allegedly begun and that Nintendo has postponed production due to the threat of Trumps from China tariffs. One of the consoles is said to have better specifications, while the other is said to be a cheaper alternative that may have a different form factor.
Nintendo announced no hardware announcements at E3, but the company still had much to share. Perhaps the biggest news from Nintendo on E3 was the announcement of a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In addition, Banjo comes to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
