Rainbow Six Siege continues to expand and will soon do so again with Operation Grim Sky. The new DLC drop adds two new operators, Maverick and Clash, and revises an old map. Now Ubisoft has finally announced all details about the operators.
Clash, as we suspected in earlier teaser experiments, carries a shield similar to that of Montagne. The shield is always fully extended when equipped. Although he can not hold a weapon while using his shield, he has an additional ability to boost his ability to slow enemies while dealing a small amount of damage. Her ability makes her the first defender to carry a shield and a useful support operator that allows her to gather information about opposing positions and distract her while teammates pull her off.
The new attacker is called Maverick and his unique tool is a blowtorch that can burn silently through reinforced walls. Seemingly an alternative to Hibana and Thermit, he can open objective spaces to allow for larger visual axes ̵
In the video above you can see the gameplay of both operators. There are also shots of the Buffed Consulate Map – which has been updated with some small improvements, such as new wall placements – and the completely redesigned Hereford Base, which is barely recognizable from its previous form. Ubisoft has not yet confirmed the exact release date for the new content season; it just means Operation Grim Sky will come to the test server this week and play live on PS4, Xbox One and PC "in a few weeks".
