There is a battle between fire and ice.
Or at least this is illustrated in Season 8 of the "Game of Thrones" series, which HBO released on Thursday.
The 39-second animation clip shows ice and fire sweeping over a map of Westeros. A figure of a direwolf is covered with ice (probably representing House Stark), then a miniature dragon is frozen (a reference to the house Targaryen or possibly the zombie dragon Viserion). Fire engulfs a lion figurehead (an allusion to House Lannister), and at the end of the clip, the two elements collide in the middle, which is likely to be a rather epic battle in the final season of the series. HBO's PR team is really a harp-up for the whole thing "A Song of Ice and Fire" (the name of the book series on which the series is based) before the series ends.
The teaser also confirms The next season will be premiered in April 201
In the previous season of Game of Thrones, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) decided to band together (and their loins) to defeat the White Walkers. But Cersei Lannister still governs the Seven Kingdoms and is hell bent on gaining her power despite threats of snow shelters, monsters stealing babies, and another pair of incestuous lovers. Look at the clip above!
