Out Now On Switch
The Nintendo Direct of the Week on September 4 showed some games coming to the switch in the near future. These included the remaster for Xenoblade Chronicles, Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon Sword & Shield, and Overwatch's October release, which leaked a few times but was used to trigger the livestream.
It was an impressive Nintendo Direct, but the show's biggest surprises included the revelations of some of the games and updates that are now available. Below is a brief overview of all the games released on Nintendo Switch Eshop on Thursday. In addition to unveiling Deadly Premonition Origins (which has an audio bug to fix), Nintendo also featured co-op brawler Super Kirby Clash and a port for the acclaimed RPG Divinity: Original Sin 2. There was plenty of this news to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, including things that are coming out now and in the future.
Another big news from Direct was that SNES games are finally coming to Switch's Nintendo online service. Although they were not released directly after the Direct like the games described below, they arrived just one day later. A series of 20 SNES games have been released if you are a Switch Online subscriber. This includes access to Breath of Fire, Star Fox, Super Metroid, Super Mario World and Super Ghouls & Ghosts. Similar to the NES games, you can use the memory features and convenient rewind feature, and take advantage of new online multiplayer features. In addition, Nintendo will release a new SNES wireless controller for the switch, and additional SNES games will be added to the library.
