Set 2 of Teamfight Tactics introduces a new cast of characters, origins and classes, as well as a larger hex board. And now the fans have a first look at the Ocean Mage thrown.
Riot Games has allowed various content authors to reveal new and exciting information about the future of today's auto-tattooer. The YouTuber and Twitch streamer Jonas "Sp4zie" Ring have released a video that sheds light on the new mage class while speculating on the origin of the ocean.
The Mage class gives units the opportunity to double their abilities. The three-unit bonus offers a 50 percent chance, while the six-unit bonus offers a 100 percent chance.
"You can probably think of that as a substitute for the wizard we currently have," Sp4zie said. "I think it just makes it more visceral than the wizards we have now … If you have units with low mana cost, that gets pretty crazy."
Sp4zie also revealed three units that will be part of the mage class: Veigar, Syndra, and Vladimir.
In the TFT Update to mark the 10th anniversary of League of Legends, players can see a brief taste of new units, classes and origins in action. Although Sp4zie does not know exactly what the ocean's origin looks like, he suspects that the ocean attribute gives the units additional mana regeneration.
"We can see Vladimir here, who will also use his skills," said Sp4zie. "So he gets really weak because everyone focuses on him and he gets a lot of mana immediately."
Veigar will also be part of the Shadow Origin, but no information has yet been revealed.
Set Two will soon enter the Public Beta Environment (PBE) and land on the live servers in early November.
