New Yorker in the Bronx Zoo at a lion enclosure that was virally arrested for committing a crime

The New Yorker, who saw dancing in front of a confused lion after she crashed the home of the King of the Jungle at the Bronx Zoo, was reportedly arrested Wednesday, more than a month after the video of the failed stunt became viral had become.

] 32-year-old Myah Autry was arrested on Wednesday in Brooklyn, where she was reported to police in connection with the September 28 incident, which quickly became a social media phenomenon. The video, taken after Autrey broke through the African lion enclosure, shows her standing just a few feet away from the wild cat who looks back in amazement at the woman's presence. ZOO

Before the video goes down , Autry even dances in front of the big cat. According to the New York Post, the woman released videos and photos of the close encounter on Instagram ̵

1; and even went so far as to ridicule the NYPD, which she had visited for double crimes after she had broken into the lion's den and one giraffe enclosure.

"When I go to Lion's Den, do you think for a second, I'm afraid of a handcuff, I'm scared of a jail cell?" She said in one of her videos] A Bronx zoo spokesman said Fox News said at the time of the incident that his actions "constituted a serious breach and unlawful infringement that could result in serious injury or death."

"There are barriers and rules that must be respected to keep visitors, staff and animals safe," the statement says. "We have a zero tolerance policy for crossing and breaking barriers."


Last Thursday, Autry appeared in a New Jersey courtroom after being charged with shoplifting. She did not plead guilty, WCBS-TV said. She told the news agency at the time that she was not aware of the NYPD arrest warrant for her arrest.
