Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) reopened on Saturday morning after an "airport emergency" disrupted all air traffic at the New Jersey Air Hub for nearly an hour.
EEA officials posted the news on Twitter at 8:46 pm I urge travelers to "inquire with your airline before they arrive at the airport".

About an hour later, officials said the airport had been reopened, though passengers should "expect delays" and continue to check for updates at their airline Fox 5 DC.
It is unclear at this time why the EEA has been shut down.
Witnesses tweeted that an airplane might make an emergency landing. was seen on the asphalt surrounded by emergency vehicles, according to NJ.com.
