After winning their division against Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Bears have won two high-profile games over the past few weeks. After beating the Rams in Sunday Night Football a few weeks ago, the Bears did not have much promotion to the NFL Power Rankings, but now that they're NFC North Champs, we can see what they look like this week.
We start with the Mothership, the SB Nation and OH MY GOD YOU MOVE TO THE BEARS!
. 4 Chicago Bears: It's Week 16, and we have the Bears – the Bears!?! – The packers bounce off like mosquitoes and say goodbye for a first round. This is justified and fair for a franchise that had been inflicted for five years by Marc Trestman and John Fox himself.
Actually, SB Nation was fairly fair in the Bears' review most of the 201
National experts from ESPN ranked Bears fifth after their victory. They then went through the 32 teams and each gave the biggest breakthrough.
Biggest breakthrough: QB Mitchell Trubisky. Last season's second overall NFL draft victory was Trubisky's rookie for just 2,193 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions last season. But Trubisky has a breakthrough in season two, with 2,814 pass yards, 23 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and three touchdowns in 12 games. Trubisky thrives on improved talents in the Bears skill positions and coaching of Matt Nagy, who brought Andy Reid's hugely successful Kansas City offense to Chicago.
Check out how high the USA Today bears are.
. 3 Bears (6): The newly crowned NFC North champion could finish with a goodbye. They would not want to face this defense … rested … in January … in Chicago.
When I see the words "high" and "USA today" in the same sentence, it usually has a different meaning.
This is what Yahoo Sports looks like this week.
. 5 Chicago Bears (10-4, LW: 5)
The Bears could run the NFC North for a while. There is no reason to believe that the Packers or Vikings will be better next season than they (we do not even have to mention the Lions). A highlight from the Sunday game: The touchdown pass Mitchell Trubisky made with Trey Burton was a big hit.
I will even refer to her article praising the bears.
CBS Sports has improved the Bears by 1 place to fifth overall,
They are the NFC North Champions and have done so with a dominant defense. It's going to be tough in the playoffs.
My Google search took me to Althon Sports this week.
. 3 Chicago Bears – Last Week: 6
No tricky effort throughout the game against the division's rivals, but it had to be extra sweet to win the division at home against the Packers. The defense is still excellent, but there were a few things Matt Nagy needed to work with his group on.
Here's how it stands in the Sporting News.
. 4 Chicago Bears 10-4 (last week: 5)
The defense of the Bears continues to do the job, and Matt Nagy has proven his coaching skills by getting used to a more back-oriented attack in December. This team has a feeling of 2017 in which an eagle moves.
The Chicago Tribune keeps the Bears stable.
. 4 Bears 10-4 (4). After losing the season opening to Packers, the Bears are looking forward to playoffs with the hope that they will be able to say goodbye in the first round.
