The NHL announced it has suspended Garnet Hathaway three games due to spitting on Erik Gudbranson during the second game period on Wednesday. Hathaway had a hearing at the NHL this morning.

Hathaway spat on Gudbranson after the Canucks' defender hit him When he beat him two players were kept separated by officials. After the game, Hathaway expressed regret, but did not apologize.
