Several media reports have said that defender Mike Green is expected to sign with Detroit and that Red Wings will likely be the goalkeeper Sign Jonathan Bernier . Anyone can become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
Green spent the last three seasons with the Red Wings. The 32-year-old scored 33 points in 66 games for the Red Wings this season (eight goals, 25 assists). He has 464 points (142 goals, 322 assists) in 787 NHL games with Red Wings and Washington Capitals.
Bernier, 29, was 19-13-3 with 2.85 goals against the average and .913 save percentage for Colorado avalanche this season.
Missing Transcriptions with Devils
Eddie Lack signed a one-year contract with the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.
The contract has a value of 650,000 US dollars. One-year-old goalkeeper was acquired by the Devils in a deal with the Calgary Flames on December 30 and went 1-2-0 with a 3.19 goals-against-averaging and a .903 saving percentage in four games (three starts) with New Jersey. In 16 games with Binghamton of the American Hockey League, he went 6-7-2 with a 2.90 GAA and .889 saving percentage.
Lacquer is 56-55-18 with a 2.62 GAA and .909 saving percentage in five NHL seasons.
