Nigel Bradham suspended for 1st game of the 2018 season

This is bad news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but good news for the Eagles.

Thursday, the NFL officially suspended Buc's quarterback Jameis Winston for the first three games of the 2018 season for a violation of the League's personal conduct policy. Winston's suspension comes from the League's investigation into an incident in March 2016 when he allegedly patted a female Uber rider in Arizona.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Winston will not contest his suspension .

In a statement, Winston said he was "sorry for the Uber driver for the position I was in."

The Buccaneers published the following statement:

All members of our organization are expected to comply with the NFL's Personal Conduct Guidelines, and we are disappointed that Jameis has put himself in a position to defend himself against the policy violates and accepts the commissioner's decision today.

This means that the Eagles Week 2 game in Tampa Bay could be a lot easier, with the Eagles having their first street contest of the year against the Falcons after the season opener Bucs.

Winston has played the Eagles only once in his career and has been great, leading the Bucs to a 45-1

7 win over the Eagles on the Linc during his rookie season in 2015. In this game he finished 65th Percent of his passes for 246 yards and a career-high five touchdown passes with zero interceptions. 19659003] Winston is one of only seven qua rbackbacks who have ever thrown five touchdown passes against the Eagles in a single game; nobody has ever thrown more against them in a game. The others are Matthew Stafford, Eli Manning, Joe Montana, Craig Morton, Don Meredith (twice) and Sonny Jergensen.

Winston, 24, has pitched for at least 3,500 yards and 19 touchdowns in each of his first two seasons. He made the Pro Bowl a freshman in 2015. To put his early success in perspective, Winston has two 4,000-yard seasons in its first three seasons; the Eagles franchise has never had one.

The backup quarterback for the Bucs is seasoned journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick, who even played 2-1 in his last season at Winston last season.

But do not let these three games fool you, the Bucs are obviously much better with Winston behind the center than Fitzpatrick, who has played for five different teams in the last six years.

According to NFL Research, the first three games of this year's Bucs are the toughest first three games for any team in the Super Bowl era, based on last year's records.
