Nintendo Direct: Super Nintendo Games Hit Switch On September 5th

If you subscribe to the Nintendo Switch online service, 20 Super Nintendo games will be available on the system as of September 5th.

Nintendo announced the Super Nintendo Entertainment Library – Nintendo Switch Online during It's the Nintendo Direct presentation in September 2019, which lists the first 20 SNES games that will be available on the system. The titles are free if you're already paying for Switch's online service. The first titles include The Legend of Zelda: A Connection to the Past, Yoshi's Island, Mario Kart and Breath of Fire. The service will also receive Stunt Race FX, which is the first time the game is available on a system other than SNES.

SNES-NSO games support local and online multiplayer, Nintendo said during the presentation, so you will be able to compete against friends in classic titles. It also includes the SNES Classic rewind feature, which allows you to dial back a few seconds in games if something goes wrong.

Apart from games, Nintendo provides a SNES controller for the switch for $ 30. It is a special offer offered exclusively to NSO subscribers. The same cable is used for charging as for the Switch Pro controller. Nintendo has not offered a release date, but announces that it will publish more information on the controller on its website in the future.
