Nintendo strives to improve existing products, and Joy-Con is no exception. While we're sure that this controller has a design flaw that many switch owners would like to see fixed, Nintendo seems more interested in finding brand new ways to improve and innovate.

A new Nintendo patent recently published in the official patent database in Japan. As you can see in the pictures above and below, the user can adjust the angle of the top of the Joy-Con to make some incredibly minor changes to the internal components of the Joy-Con controller, but the appearance remains the same. If anything came of this recently filed application, this would technically be the first revision that changes the look of the controller.

Of course that does not mean that anything will happen. This is only a patent ̵

1; meaning that there is no certainty that it will actually become a genuine product.
