Nintendo released Dragilia Lost, an original mobile game released on iOS and Android on September 27th. It's the first time that Nintendo releases new intellectual property directly on mobile platforms without first debuting on handhelds or consoles
Following a trend for more hardcore mobile games, the game has the depth typically dedicated to mobile gaming Video game systems is reserved. It is a fantasy RPG where humans and dragons fight together in the Kingdom of Alberia. It uses touchscreen controls for various combat mechanics. It has options to play in co-op quests, events and raid battles with up to three other friends.
Nintendo said the game can easily be enjoyed in short bursts or longer game sessions. In Dragalia Lost, players build a customized group of adventurers and embark on a grand journey.
"Our mobile strategy is expanding with the launch of Nintendo's first original IP to be released on mobile devices, Dragalia Lost," said Doug Bowser, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Nintendo of America. "Fans are looking for a variety of mobile experiences, and this dynamic action RPG fits in perfectly with our other mobile games while offering something completely new."
While exploring the world, players control their party of adventurers in combat, even turning them into powerful dragons to unleash devastating attacks. Along the way, players will be able to spot more than 60 companions for their group, offering a variety of weapon classes, combat abilities, and elemental traits.
Fights are executed in real time to keep the players in action by sliding their fingers on the drag screen to move, tap or hold their characters to interact with various attacks and to scroll along the screen dodge. By using the ingame currencies Diamantium or Wyrmite, players can summon new characters, dragons, or special accessories called Wyrmprints, which can be equipped for powerful abilities or bonuses. Wyrmite is earned in the game as a reward for completing quests while Diamondium can be bought for real money.
Dragalia Lost is about letting players play as they please. Party members can be customized in all sorts of ways, whether through new equipment or levels and earning new or improved skills. Dragalia Lost even offers a synchronous online multiplayer with up to three other players, so that friends can share the experience during the main story adventure, additional quests and event raids.
One of the characters is a prince who is seventh in line for the throne of Alberia. The goal is to regain the power of the Holy Shards, which protected the kingdom from the monsters that surround it. The prince prays to the "great dragon of the forest" to gain power. The prince must team up with Midgardsormr, the dragon, to save Alberia.
You must form a group of four characters to start a quest. When you hit beasts, you have to take them over and use the various powers of your teammates to win battles. You can type characters like healer, attacker, defender or supporter. The elemental qualities of the companion are important. Those who bring water are strong against fire and so on. There are more than 60 adventurers meeting and welcoming at your party. Fights happen in real time and they look very fast.
You can gain strength in four ways. You can climb in a grind. You can get stronger weapons. You can win a mana tour in an adventure quest and you can go to holy Halidom Castle. You can mine gold and do other activities at the castle.
Using spells, you can summon new characters that will help you in a fight. You can summon beasts like dragons. Wyrmprints represent memories of the world. Depending on how well you have leveled, a Wyrmprint card can help you.
Multiplayer is an option for every quest in the game. You can create your own task and invite other players. There are some special events where you can fight bosses.
