A three-year-old North Carolina boy missing earlier this week told his family that he was "having a bear for two days."
Casey Lynn Hathaway, 3, disappeared from his grandmother's garden on Tuesday while playing with other children, the sheriff's office in Craven County said.
The FBI, state investigators and the US Marine Corps from nearby bases in Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point have teamed up to find the boy. Hathaway was found on Thursday. He was found by professional search and rescue teams, the FBI said.

The Sheriff of Craven County, Chip Hughes, told reporters on Thursday that authorities could find the boy after seeing someone behind heard his mother call. They then found the boy in a "tangle of vines and thorns," about half a mile from where he had disappeared, reported the Charlotte Observer. The boy was discovered "wet, cold and scratched" but was able to talk.
It was not immediately clear where Casey was in these two days and what enabled him to stay safe.
