SPOKANE, Wash has an above-average chance of seeing the Northern Lights from Spokane and North Idaho this weekend.
4 New Now Weather Forecaster Mark Peterson said a geomagnetic storm would spread across Canada producing Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights.
Recently, a new moon phase has begun to improve the view of the northern lights. The best place to observe the phenomenon is further out in the countryside or where there is little light pollution.
Peterson said the best time to see the Northern Lights was after 10pm. until the early hours of Saturday and Sunday.
