Research has found that fitness can lead to a longer life and that sedentary activity is even more lethal than some illnesses.
According to a study published in JAMA Network Open, sport is not more harmful to human health than smoking
Cleveland Clinic researchers studied 122,007 patients from January 1, 1991 to December 31, 2014, allowing them to run treadmill tests and later mortality rates record.
Their findings point to cardiorespiratory fitness combined with a longer lifespan and that the benefits of training are not limited. There were fears that those who are overactive or exercising excessively have a higher risk of death, but research shows that this is not the case.
Compared to top coaches who are sedentary with death for those who were sedentary 500 percent higher
The study concludes that a sedentary lifestyle is synonymous with a serious illness. (Next animation about Reuters)
