Nvidia Affiliate Email Refers to August 30th GTX 1180 Release Graphics News

An email allegedly between an Nvidia graphics card partner and a retailer was shared by the YouTube channel Gamer Meld. The email shares several important dates in the release calendar for the next generation of Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics cards.

Above is a screenshot of the shared email with confidential information hidden by the source. After a little preamble, the current situation with "a wealth of unfinished or unsold" [GTX10 GTX10] GPUs, which must be deleted before GTX11 can be released, published and published, the email delivers three keys "Expected Release Data" for the first next generation cards.

Nvidia GeForce GTX1

1 Release Dates:

  • GeForce GTX 1180 on August 30
  • GeForce GTX 1170/1180 + on September 30
  • GeForce GTX 1160 on October 30

If the above release dates are , then the launch dates will usually be one or two weeks ahead of them. With the new flagship Nvidia GeForce GTX 1180 for 30 th August, it will be the GPU hardware star of the show at Gamescom, running from Wednesday 22 to until Saturday 25 th August. About a week later we may see the first GeForce GTX 1180 cards.

One month after the GTX 1180, Nvidia will release the GeForce GTX 1170/1180+ cards. The + model could be third-party cards that may be released after Nvidia has milked zealous early adopters of cash through the Founder's Edition product line. TechPowerUp speculates, however, that the 1180+ will be "a brand new premium brand extension" with faster watches and / or a premium reference design. Another month later, but still in time for the Xmas gaming PC rush, the mainstream Nvidia champion GeForce GTX 1160 should appear.

Finally, you'll notice that the leaked e-mail is a partner conference for 21 st August, the day before Gamescom. I think that's another way of preparing traders for the upcoming product lines they will be selling.
