Oakland County, MDHHS, confirms further exposure sites in …




OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – The outbreak of measles in Oakland County continues to increase after it has been confirmed that eight people have contracted the virus.

Oakland County health officials are working hard to control the spread of measles, especially since two confirmed patients also visited Detroit.

Oakland County and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services officials released an updated list of sites where residents may have been exposed to the virus on Saturday.

Residents of the following sites were at risk of being exposed to measles at the times and times below, and have vaccination opportunities by March 24.

Special measles vaccine clinics are open to the public on Sunday from 1

0am to 2pm. South Oakland Health Center on Greenfield Road in Southfield and Young Israel on Oak Park on 10 Mile Road in Oak Park.

If you have been vaccinated, the level of concern for the measles outbreak is minimal.
