INDIANAPOLIS – Jon Gruden is always one of the more entertaining coaches of the NFL Combine.
On Thursday morning, the Raiders coach talked about some things and praised the channels of the new Alliance of American Football League. As he discussed the quarter-league game throughout the league, he unveiled Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, unsuccessfully, that pass-first acts in the NFL were successful.
"I think you can. The guy in New England can throw it too, "he said. "You have to be able to run the ball in key situations, run the clock at the end of the game, you have to be able to convert some third-and-one players, create some goal-line situations and Set up game action passes. Brady proved that. They had the best game action in the entire football.
"Yes, the passing game today is really with all the RPOs that I think can go all the way with a great pass violation."
Gruden was later asked about increasing mobility with quarterbacks, and in this response Brady was also addressed.
"I do not believe [mobility is necessary]," he said. "The guy who constantly wins Super Bowls will not win the short shuttle. Championship: This guy is just a fantastic footballer, he has proved that you do not have to be on the edge and have to run for the first downs and attack the perimeter It all depends on the support of the cast and the performance of your team. "
Although Brady himself was in the Combine for nearly 20 years, that does not mean that he is still not being talked about. [1
