"This is the next evolution of the DSSV off-road damper," said Michael Guttilla, executive vice president of Multimatic Engineering. "We have adopted and scaled everything we've learned from the hugely successful Colorado ZR2 program to deliver the highest level of performance at Silverado. The initial on-truck development was successful, but the competition will deliver the true test.

Other prototype parts of the Silverado race truck include front and rear shock absorbers, rear shock absorbers, 35-inch off-road tires and underbody guards for the transfer case, steering gear, rear differential and front underbody.
