Officials confirm 4 more measles cases in Detroit

OAK PARK, Michigan (AP) – Michigan, USA, has confirmed four more cases of measles in the Detroit area after they had detected a rice-related case of measles One person involved was a visit from Israel.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Oakland County Health Division released the update Thursday night. He said that three more cases of the highly contagious disease would be investigated.

Officials say people may have been exposed this month in Detroit and the suburbs of Oak Park, Southfield and Berkley including in a synagogue, Jewish educational institutions and grocery stores. The first case related to the trip involved a person who had stayed in New York, where a measles outbreak occurred.
