"Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X is record for the longest No. 1 ever

Lil Nas X has officially set the record for the longest record ever on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Old Town Road" once again took # 1 on July 16 (Monday, July 16) and combined it with just two other songs that did the same feat in the nearly 61-year history of the charts. Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber did the feat in 2017 with "Despacito", while Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" 1995-96 set the first record.

The song is already broken Countless records for the newcomer, who recently became the oldest hip-hop record of all time. After 13 weeks in the hip-hop charts, "Old Town Road" surpassed three songs that had previously set the record at 1

2 weeks apiece: Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" with Charlie Puth in 2015, The Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" in 2009 and Eminem's "Lose Yourself" in 2002.

The song was fueled by numerous high-profile remixes that everyone rushes from Billy Ray Cyrus to Young Thug – and current discussions come over even more. Even the country legend Dolly Parton seems enthusiastic about this idea.

Could Lil Nas X drive to No. 1 for a week and officially set a new record? We have to wait and see.
