One child was killed and 40 others were injured when a charter bus overturned, police said.

1; mostly children – were injured after a bus for a youth soccer team that had crashed from Texas to Memphis (Tenn.) Fuhr and early Monday morning in Arkansas  The charter bus drove off Interstate 30 near Benton, Ark. About 2:40 am on Monday, when it crashed off the road and toppled over, Arkansas State police said in a statement. The bus carried the Orange Mound Youth Association football team that had been playing an All-Star game in Dallas, Texas this weekend. The team had been returning to Memphis at the time of the incident, reports FOX13 Memphis.
"The bus driver lives and is questioned by state soldiers," said the police.
The children aboard the bus were reportedly all between the ages of 8 and 12 years old. The injured were taken to hospitals in Little Rock and Benton. Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock claimed to have received more than 20 patients after the crash.
Orange Mound is a historically black neighborhood in southeastern Memphis. The community teams up with their youth football teams, where children train to be part of the highly competitive Melrose High School team.
