Pabst Blue Ribbon will apparently live on. MillerCoors and Pabst Brewing Co. settled a contract lawsuit on Wednesday in which Pabst claimed that the Brauriese threatened to close the deal. No conditions were announced: "The parties have amicably resolved all outstanding issues in the case," a Pabst spokesman said in a statement. The settlement came when a jury was on the first full day of deliberations. MillerCoors has produced and delivered much of the Pabst beer since 1999, but claimed it could not do so after the contract expired in 2020. Pabst claimed MillerCoors was trying to close a competitor and ignored a contract term that allowed two-year extensions of the deal. MillerCoors is the US subsidiary of MolsonCoors Brewing Co.
