GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers have fired assistant coach Winston Moss after he had shown himself critical Tweet Tuesday.

"We are grateful to Winston for his contributions to the Packers over the last 13 years," interim coach Joe Philbin wrote in an announcement that they are leaving the coach. "We hope for the best, so that Winston and his family can move forward."

Moss announced on Twitter that the Packers let him go and added #thankstwitter at the end of the tweet.

About nine hours before the announcement, Moss had fired a separate tweet calling on team leaders to stop Aaron Rodgers and other players a Lombardi standard. He finished this tweet with #losingsucks.

Moss later added that he had served the Packers with heart and soul and did not regret his time with the team.

This comes after team head Mike McCarthy fired during a 4-7-1 season. He was 125-77-2 everyday as head coach in Green Bay.
