Pandora has introduced a new unlimited subscription plan called the Premium Family, which offers premium features for up to six members at $ 14.99 per month, or $ 164.89 per year. The premium level of the streaming service was officially launched in March last year at $ 10 per month. The premium family plan offers each member the ability to listen to high-quality non-commercial audio, personalize their playlist, create radio stations, store music offline, avoid mixing and access an automatic playlist called "Our Soundtrack" to get dynamically curated songs and albums based on their preferences.
Users of Pandora's free trial or pre-paid plans can upgrade to the Premium Family Subscription. Any remaining free trial period with Pandora will be canceled once you choose the Premium Family Plan, as the subscription immediately charges the monthly fee. Note, however, that users with an existing subscription paid through iTunes, Google Play, Roku or Amazon Appstore can not upgrade to a Premium Family plan unless they cancel their current plan with these services and wait for subscription reach the expiration date. The same applies to those who want to join a premium family plan. After unsubscribing with non-Pandora services, users can again see ads on their account, which means that they can then sign up for the Pandora Premium Family Plan. As always, this process must be completed on a computer and not on a mobile device.
It is also worth noting that Pandora Plus gift subscribers can not purchase a premium family plan while the subscription is still active, even though they can still subscribe to an existing family plan. However, if you become a member of a Premium Family Plan, your gift subscription will be canceled. Plus gift subscribers can continue to use their subscription automatically in the future as soon as they leave a premium family plan or the plan creator decides to terminate their membership altogether, the company said.
