Paris Jackson was operated on Friday to remove an abscess – and despite the pain, she was on stage the next day to perform with her new band The Soundflowers.
"In short, I had an operation yesterday." Michael Jackson's 20-year-old daughter said in a video on her band's Instagram story Saturday.
She further said she had "an abscess that was almost the size of a golf ball" to her followers, that when an abscess emerges, "you can go septic and die."
"But I did not die," she assured the supporters of the group. "They operated on immediately."
An abscess is a "pocket of pus" that can occur "almost everywhere" in the body, according to the American National Library of Medicine.
Jackson continued to share that while doctors told her that she was likely to have been under anesthesia for the procedure, she declined and " was awake for everything. "
"It was definitely the most pain I've ever had in my life," she commented, adding that since she's "covered with tattoos from head to toe," that really says something.

After Jackson made her fans aware of her health, Jackson raved about how exciting it was to join the F-Cancer organization on Canyon Sessions, a fundraiser that day.
"We played a SH today, and we were not all shit, and my f-granny was there and I'm so relieved she did not hate that she really liked it, and I do not know, that means for me the world, "she added.
She continued, "I'm also sorry if I sound weird, I'm just getting a lot of medication through the pain of the procedure, I should not have even left the bed today."

In a separate post shared on her In his own Instagram account, Jackson explained how important it was for Katherine Jackson, the 88-year-old matriarch of the Jackson family, to be seen there.
"I can not believe my grandma ever made it to our second live show and she really liked it! !!! !!! I was s — my pants," she wrote. "I love you so much, Grandma, I am so happy that we can play for you and play for such an incredible cause."
On the attached photos, Paris held her grandmother's hand as she kissed her cheek and snuggled against her forehead. Katherine moved to Paris and her brothers, Prince Jackson, 21, and Blanket – now owned by B.G. – 16, after Michael's death in 2009.
This granddaughter's grandmother's time came less than two months after Joe Jackson, Katherine's husband died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 89.
