JPL's hottest event of the year, Explore JPL, will be available to the public online as of April 7, 2018. They are free but very limited – so take your money while you can. The event will take place from 9 to 10 June from 8.30 to 16.00. and coincides with the 60th anniversary of NASA, created in 1958.
"Explore JPL" offers visitors the opportunity to see, among other things, a life-size model of InSight – the next Mars mission, scheduled to launch in May and Mars rovers, plus JPL's machine shop, where precise Parts for spacecraft are manufactured.
The tickets available for specific time slots are available online at 9PM PDT (noon EDT) and must be reserved for specific names. Nobody is admitted without a ticket. The tickets are awarded on the principle of "first come, first served", a maximum of five times per requester. All orders for more than five can be canceled.
Visitors must have their tickets in hand, with a matching legal ID for those 1
Although children under the age of two do not need a ticket, the experience at the event is not intended for very young guests.
Vehicles entering NASA / JPL terrain are subject to an inspection. Visitors can not bring the following items to NASA / JPL: weapons, explosives, fire equipment, dangerous instruments, alcohol, illegal drugs, pets and all types of skates, skateboards, and segways.
Cycling to NASA / JPL is welcome, but not in the event as the venues are packed with pedestrians. Bicycle racks are provided near the main entrance.
No bags, rucksacks or freezers are allowed except small purses and diaper bags
Drones are not allowed to fly over NASA / JPL
