Sinha was informed on Twitter about the incident after a user said: "Shame Air India yesterday on their flight AI102 from JFK to Delhi a drunk passenger removed his pants and peed on the seat of my mother sat !!! She traveled alone and is totally traumatized! Answer as soon as possible. "
When asked if the crew answered, the user, Indrani Ghosh, added," Apart from giving her another seat, we know nothing else! My mother was waiting in her wheelchair at Delhi airport (for her connecting flight) to leave. "

Sinha then wrote to Air India and ordered her to investigate the incident. "Please register immediately and report back to the MoCA / DGCA report, which is very unfortunate that your mother had to have this shattering experience," he tweeted.
Air India forwarded the complaint to the departments concerned.
