LONDON (AP) – Paul McCartney plans to return to the famous Liverpool club, considered the Beatles' birthplace.
McCartney will be performing on Thursday at the Cavern Club for an exclusive performance. The Fab Four played in their early years in the basement bar, which is now opposite their original venue.
The Beatle dropped a reference to the concert during a performance at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts on Wednesday. He said to pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker, who held a Q & A session: "We have a little secret performance somewhere in Liverpool."
McCartney paid tribute to the other Beatles when he was asked about the best musicians
