House spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi said on Tuesday that Joe Biden's supposedly inappropriate touch should not short-circuit his political career, but suggested that the former vice president join the "clean-armed club" to keep people at a safe distance hold.
"I do not think it's disqualifying," Pelosi said in an interview with Politico. "He needs to understand in the world that we are now in that the space of the people is important to them, and what matters is how they receive it and not necessarily as you intended."
She advised Biden to distance himself from true people with whom he interacts – especially women.
"I'm a straight-arm club member," she said. "I just say you have a cold and I have a cold."
The leader of the Democrats in Parliament said that she knows Biden, who is expected to be in the presidential elections for a long time, and noted that he is a "loving person ̵
" Join the Straight Arm Club if you want, "Pelosi said.
Two women have publicly accused Biden of having touched her without her consent.
Lucy Flores, a former member of the state of Nevada, told Biden she had her hands on her shoulders, kissing her hair during a 2014 election campaign.
Amy Lappos claimed Biden pulled her in and rubbed her nose during a Connecticut political fundraiser in 2009.
Pelosi from California said in the era of the #Metoo movement: Biden needs to understand how people behave consider his behavior and not what he intends.
"It is important for the Vice President and others to understand [that] It is not what you intended, but how it was received. … even if you do not believe that you are communicating in your marriage, do not communicate, "she said.
In a statement issued Sunday in response to Flores' allegations, Biden said so during his many years in the election campaign, he offered countless handshakes, hugs, affection, support, and consolation.
"And not once – I never believed that I acted inappropriately," he continued. "If it is suggested that I have done that, I will listen respectfully. But it was never my intention. "
