A Penn State alumnus and a football fan accused a Nittany Lions player of having worn his hair in "disgusting" dreadlocks, triggering support for the sports student from his teammates and school.
The letter addressed to "Dear Jonathan", presumably for the safety of Penn State Jonathan Sutherland, was posted on social media Monday night by teammate Antonio Shelton. Sutherland is a defensive eye-catcher wearing his hair in dreadlocks.
