Lockheed Martin's Pentagon's top weapon supplier, THAAD, or defending highlands, is considered America's crowning jewel in missile defense systems.
The development came when Saudi Arabia was exposed to the murder of a journalist Jamal Khashoggi as well as his role in the war in Yemen. President Donald Trump has in the meantime cited the importance of defense services in defending his decision to stay with the king after killing. The Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman denied the knowledge of the attack, although the CIA had reportedly ordered the death of Khashoggi.
Saudi Arabia's oil-rich monarchy is one of America's most important strategic partners and a major patron of American defense companies. The Saudis are the top buyers of US-made weapons, a title that protected the kingdom from retaliatory sanctions for the killing of Khashoggi and the war in Yemen.
