The US Department of Agriculture and Food Inspection announced Friday that Perdue Foods LLC. has recalled more than 31
The recalled products were cooked chicken products made on March 21, the agency said in a statement. On the product label was recommended to consumers to use it until May 20.
Products include: Perdue Simply Smart Organics breaded chicken breast tenders, Perdue Simply Smart Organics chicken breast nuggets and Perdue Simply Smart breaded chicken breast strips. The recall also included boxes of Chef Bon's baked chicken breast fillet and Chef Quik's delicately shaped chicken breast with breaded chicken breast fillet ribs.
Products shipped nationwide to retailers. The problem with cooked chicken products has been discovered following complaints from consumers. The FSIS said it was worried that some consumers put the product in the freezer and told consumers not to eat it.
