PFL 2019, Week 2 Results and Video: Highlights event of the 10-second Flying Knee KO

The Professional Fighters League hosted the second event of their 2019 season at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island this evening, and surprisingly, the highlight of the entire event was on the agenda.

Two tournament winners from last year started their repeat campaigns with strong victories, while two other fighters from their hometown made the crowd happy with their own wins.

That's how it all went.

Lance Palmer def. Alex Gilpin by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Palmer dropped Gilpin in the first round with a left hook, but failed to reach the sub-finish. The next two rounds he played with Gilpin on the ground, but got with a decision victory only three points.

Here is the video for the surcharge:

Chris Wade def. Nate Andrews by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

Like the main event, this fight was fiercely contested, with Wade losing some in the first two rounds. Andrews threatened with an armbar towards the end of the fight, but Wade took the decision victory for three points.

Andre Harrison def. Peter Petties on unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27 )

Another fight, another wrestle festival. That could be a bit tough, as Harrison landed only three takedowns and looked for a series of submissions, but never really got around to putting petties out of the way. Three points for Harrison, who has recovered well from his first career defeat.

Akhmed Aliev defeated. Carlao Silva on knockout at 2:24 of Round 1

In the only main card finish of the night, Aliev Silva crashed out of hand and dealt enough damage on the ground to survive the break in half the first round. 6 big points for Aliev.

Here is the video:

Islam Mamedov def. Ylies Djiroun on split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

The closest fight of the main card was how to strike vs. strike. Judge grappling. Dijroun was more effective on the feet. Mamedov was more effective on the mat. In the end, it probably cost the control time for Mamedov, who made a split decision.

Preliminary Results

Rashid Magomedov defeated. Loik Radzhabov by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Luis Rafael Laurentino defeated. Jeremy Kennedy on TKO on: 23 of Round 1

Watch this video. My word.
