Gabe Kapler, Philadelphia Phillies coach, was not pleased that Rhys Hoskins had scored a high goal in Sunday's 5-1 win over Atlanta Braves.
"It really pisses me off when balls go off Rhys Hoskin's chin," said Kapler, who called Hoskins the "heartbeat" of the Phillies. "Really annoys me."
Braves manager Brian Snitker said that Carle is not
"If Bryce [Harper] had not hit Homer and the ball would have got away this way, I'm sure he would not have been ejected," Snitker said, as quoted by The Athletic "He's not trying to beat the guy. My God, it's just not the situation in which you do that. He lost the ball and unfortunately he hit him. I hate that. Umpire had to do what he thought he did, but there's no way he's trying to send a message or anything like that. The ball was just gone.
Two squares after Harper made a solo home run, Shane Carle ran out in the seventh inning and the Reliever punched Hoskins on the left shoulder.
The plate umpire Rob Drake immediately shoved Carle out after leaving the game he before the media were admitted to the clubhouse of the Braves.
