The Assistant Coaches includes Joe Prunty, Corliss Williamson, Jamelle McMillan, and Jason Staudt, as well as other basketball professionals, training staff, coaches, and analysts.
Gambadoro reports that Kokambov had added new members to the team before shooting and assigned new members roles were discussed. Kokoskov was open to the idea, according to Gambadoro.
Prunty was once the Milwaukee Bucks interim coach after Jason Kidd was fired. He led the Bucks to a regular season record of 21-16 and a series of seven games against the Boston Celtics in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. He trained or served in at least five other NBA organizations.
Williamson has played 12 seasons in the NBA and was former assistant to the Sacramento Kings and Orlando Magic.
McMillan played for ASU and is the son of Indiana Pacers head coach Nate McMillan. The younger McMillan is a former coaches for development coaches and assistant trainers of the New Orleans Pelicans.
Staudt was a pro scout for the Magic and an advanced scout for the Trail Blazers and Rockets before joining the Suns.
The Suns hired Prunty, Williamson, McMillan and Staudt are all in the offseason. This means that just like Kokoskov, they worked in the organization for only one season and are now co-victims.
The Front Office's basketball division is led by GM James Jones and the newly hired Executive Jeff Bower, whose job title is Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations.
In a press release officially announcing the dismissal of Kokoskov, Jones said, "After careful consideration, I decided it would be best to move our head coaching in a different direction.
