Pininfarina unveiled its Battista all-electric hypercar at the Geneva Motor Show – a 1900-horsepower (!!) beast that goes from 0 to 100 mph in less than two seconds. Will this compete with Tesla's upcoming roadster for elite electric hypercar status?
"The most powerful road-legal car ever designed and built in Italy," the battista has an inane 2300 Nm of torque. The electric hypercar wants to have a range up to 450 km (280 miles) using a 120 kWh battery pack from Rimac Automobili.
Pininfarina claims Battista can hit 186 mph in less than 12 seconds. Automobili Pininfarina says that Battista's "extreme performance" is "a feat that would just be impossible to achieve with internal combustion technology."

Tesla's new Roadster for about the same performance. Tesla says his roadster wants to top 250mph and over 2 + 2. So compare the 280 mile range of the Pininfarina to the Roadster's 620 (!!) miles.

But it's hard to imagine spending $ 2.2M on this thing when on a Tesla Roadster a few years.
Still, those with a taste for pininfarina aesthetics and deep wallets want to love this car and its whiplash-inducing horsepower and torque .
