A few months ago, Pokemon GO hosted a special Limited Time Research event where players had the opportunity to experience a glittering Feebas. The problem with this event was that Feebas' brilliant match rate was low and many Pokemon GO fans were disappointed when they did not make it. Now Niantic is trying another Limited Time Research event, this time with a glittering Lotad star, but players seem to face the same problems.
Perhaps as a way to address the complaints about the Feebas Limited Time Research, the shining, Lotad Limited Time Research lasts from 11:00 am local time to 20:00 pm. Theoretically, this Pokemon GO basically gives players a shining lotad all day long, though not everyone is able – or willing – to literally spend the day playing the game.
Unfortunately, it seems that some Pokemon GO players have to do that when hoping for Shining Lotad. Some users at Reddit reported that the chances of a shiny lotad were just 3/165. Others went 2/150 and 1/80. Shiny Castform, which is also part of this event, seems easier to catch than the shiny Lotad, perhaps because players do not have to do any field research to reach it.
The shining lotad spawn rate seems to be unfortunate low, as it may rub again Pokemon GO fans the wrong way. Those who have been burned by Feebas Limited Time Research and yet have decided to try the Lotad Limited Time Research study may decide that these events are not worth their time at all if the hit rate for the shiny Pokemon is so low ,
A simple solution seems to be that the reason why Pokemon GO players participate in these Limited Time Research events or community day events is, after all, to catch shiny Pokemon, the usually extremely rare, it is a shame, d As some players perform dozens of fieldwork tasks and can only leave the event empty-handed, they can easily catch a whole family of shiny Pokemon and then some on community days.
Niantic has not yet responded to fan complaints about Lotad Limited Time Research, but as the recent increase in time suggests, the community seems to be listening , It will be interesting to see if the next Pokemon GO limited-time research event will be adjusted for the fan reaction to Lotad Limited-Time research or not.
Pokemon GO has now been released for mobile devices for iOS and Android.
