The Xbox Scarlett components will be the most important.
As always, players have high expectations for new consoles. Everyone relies on powerful components, great games and an affordable price for the premiere. Xbox Scarlett dispenses with the solutions known from XONE and instead of a Jaguar-based CPU, it is equipped with an AMD Zen 2 processor to achieve the important goal of Microsoft. We are talking about a technological leap between device generations. According to Aaron Greenberg, this element will play a key role in providing entertainment in a modern edition that is so much desired by the recipients of this brand. Xbox One X proved to be a successful experiment, which is why the responsible people were implemented in the next project.
We are very pleased with what we have achieved in creating the Xbox One X. The team that carried them out is now responsible for Project Scarlett.
Backward Compatibility, 4K and 120Hz
Microsoft has stressed from the beginning that the next 4K and 120Hz console is something they want to put in the hands of gamers. In addition, their equipment should support all titles that can be run on the current generation. However, this does not change the fact that in addition to high resolution and smooth animation, they value even the shortest loading screens. Those we know today should go back in time.
What we see today is a big GPU development – we can display the image in 4K without losing any other advantages. However, in my opinion, the new generation will be a place where the processor will play an important role. 4K alone is not enough, we also have to reach 120Hz. This is not a standard today, and you can not forget advanced SSDs. It is thanks to them that the loading screens virtually disappear, resulting in better reception among the players. By combining all these elements, one can speak of a big leap between the present and the coming generation.
Although it is still general, Aaron Greenberg's plan seems well thought out. We do not know the exact version of Xbox Scarlett, but if it can deliver games in 4K with 120 frames per second with short loading, there is a big chance for the interest of the players. It should be added that this device will handle productions of Xbox One, so at the beginning no one will say that there is nothing to play. With the Game Pass subscription, the new Microsoft console seems to be well-equipped to battle for the customer. Will it really be that way? We will find out next year.
