POLICE: The man who opened the fire in the store was a storekeeper



UPDATE 7:15 The police have confirmed that no one was injured during Saturday afternoon shootings.

The security officer reportedly argued with the store manager before the shootout. When the police arrived, he also fired on them. It is not known at this time why the argument began.

No personal information has been released about the security officer. The name of the policeman who shot him is published within 48 hours.

Witnesses tell us it seems the gunman was an employee at Ross Dress For less. Witnesses say that they have heard quarrels and excitement at the front of the store. There was a brief pause as the shooter left the shop to get a gun, and then people in the shop heard several shots.

There are reports of shots fired at Blue Diamond Crossing near Blue Diamond and Valley View Boulevard.

There is a strong police presence in the area. The police asks people to stay away from the area. There are road closures in force.

A police source told 13 Action News that the suspected shooter had failed. The Las Vegas police also tweeted that there had been a shoot-out with the Las Vegas police.

According to witnesses, a man opened the fire in a shop of Ross Dress For Less. It is unknown if someone was shot.

The alleged gunman was shot dead by a police officer. The state of the shooter is unknown.

There are several shops in the mall, including Target, Kohls, Big Lots, Office Depot and Petco.
