A Port Authority Commissioner has resigned after a video has been released showing her fall into an obscenely charged rogue against two New Jersey cops.
On March 31, two Tenafly Police Department police raided a multi-passenger car for a partially concealed license plate and tinted windows, according to NBC 4. As officers got ready to leave, Dashcam recorded Caren Turner to the scene and approaching two patrolmen after their daughter, a passenger in the car, she called a ride. Turner, 60, was appointed commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey last year, reports NJ.com
"I'm here as a concerned citizen and a friend of the mayor," Turner says. She goes to the patrol car.
An officer tells Turner that the driver of the vehicle has already received all the related information, and reminds her that she is not directly involved because everyone in the vehicle is an adult. Besides, her daughter was not the driver and was not scored.
"No, no, no, I'm involved," Turner replies. "Trust me, I'm very involved."
When Turner tries to get the officers to tell her why the vehicle was stopped, she shows her Port Authority badge, NBC reports.
"I am the Port Authority Commissioner, and I drive more than 4,000 policemen, okay?" Turner says.
An officer then tells Turner that she is violent with them, which does not help her cause.
"I just do not appreciate your behavior, they demand a lot from me," the patrolman says before reminding Turner that she's not involved in the situation and that her daughter is not in trouble.
"Your daughter is not summoned, she was not the driver, it's not her vehicle, it's not your vehicle," he says. "How are you?"
But the answer leads Turner to tell both men that she's talking with the Tenafly police chief about the traffic closures – and threatened the officers to use their position to get them into trouble. To further emphasize their anger, Turner tells the officers that they have "ruined" the Easter weekend for everyone in the car, the video says.

While the exchange continues, Turner calls both men a "disappointment." The encounter only gets hotter after the officers have advised her to take the passengers home.
"You can shut up and not tell me when can take my child and her friends, the Ph.D. students of MIT and Yale," she says. "You can not tell me because you did not tell me , Shame on you both.
Turner resigned from her position just before the video was released last week, according to NBC 4. In a statement to NJ.com, the Port Authority turned to an investigation into Turner 's behavior, after which they became aware of the incident "Immediately after hearing of allegations that Commissioner Turner violated the newly adopted Code of Ethics of the Board, an investigation was initiated by the Inspector General," the statement said. "The investigation revealed behavior that was deeply disturbing. After Commissioner Turner became aware of the investigation, she resigned. "
